Yellowstone National Park hosted nearly as many June 2025 visitors as it did in the record-breaking year of 2021, seeing 928,250 in June 2025 compared to 937,845 in June 2021—just 1% fewer than the 2021 high-water mark.
Overall, 2025 visitation is pacing for a Yellowstone record by a 4% margin.
In the first six months of this calendar year, the park has hosted its most visitors ever, with 1.69 million through June 2025. The next closest year-to-date totals were 2024, with 1.63 million visitors through June, and 2021, with 1.58 million.
Overall, 2021 saw the greatest number of visitors in a full calendar year, with 4.8 million.
