Local musician Klaudia Kosiak students’ will perform at their Spring Piano Recital on Wednesday May 25 at 6 p.m. at the Big Sky Chapel. The admission is free.

The recital will feature young local pianists from 6-15 years old. The students will be playing music from J. S. Bach to country music super star Taylor Swift. “They have been working on their pieces for last couple of months, and are very excited to present their work,” said Kosiak.

Kosiak has been teaching piano for last 10 years. She moved to Big Sky in 2006 with her husband and started giving lessons here, starting with only a few students; she now has up to 24 students from the Big Sky community.
Kosiak teaches private piano lessons and since last October, she’s worked with groups at Ophir School. Besides music, Kosiak runs High Altitude Property Management with her husband, and raises their 3-year-old daughter Olivia.

Each year Kosiak’s students have two recitals at Big Sky Chapel and one private recital just for family members. “I’m trying to give my students opportunity to show their talent and hard work every couple of months,” said Kosiak. “Besides that, they are getting stronger on the stage, and I think they have fun performing for their parents and friends.”

Kosiak also works with John Zirkle on Big Sky Community Chorus and Big Sky Broadway Music Camp as a Music Director. This year will be their second run of Big Sky Broadway.
