Search for missing big sky man suspended

Search and Rescue teams and officials from Gallatin and Madison County suspended the search on Sunday for Bradley Gardner, 24, a Big Sky resident who has not been seen since March 9.

Bradley left the ski resort and entered the backcountry solo. Search teams have worked extensively in the backcountry South and West of Lone Peak, using a helicopter, snowmobiles, dog teams, skiers and snowshoers, and resources from nearby ski patrols and the Forest Service. The search area is a relatively small zone, but is very complex terrain, with steep drainages and thick timber.

The search will resume once the weather and conditions permit a smaller team to be out safely.
