The City of Belgrade will mark the nation’s 250th anniversary on Friday, July 3, with a downtown block party and community fireworks show. The celebration starts with a block party from 5 to 8 p.m. on North Broadway between Main Street and Central Avenue, featuring around 30 local vendors, food trucks and kid-friendly activities, along with live music from the Belgrade Orchestra Enrichment Council and The Disruptors.
The fireworks show begins at 10:30 p.m., launching from city property on the west side of town, north of I-90. No public viewing will be allowed at the launch site, however, the display will be visible throughout much of Belgrade.
“America 250 is an opportunity to reflect on our nation’s history while celebrating the people and community that make Belgrade such a special place to call home,” said Belgrade Mayor Mike Meis in a June 30 City of Belgrade press release. “Events like this bring neighbors together, support our local businesses, and create lasting memories for families while honoring this once-in-a-generation milestone.”
