Briefs from the region: More than 216,000 public comments received on proposed Bureau of Land Management rule

A proposed rule for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management received more than 216,000 public comments during its public comment period. The proposed rule would apply land health standards to all BLM- managed public land and uses. The rule would add to an “overarching framework” that works to promote ecosystem resilience through biodiversity on public lands.
