YES Compost is partnering with the Gallatin Solid Waste Management District to bring a composting workshop to Big Sky on Wednesday, Oct. 1. The workshop will cover home composting, commercial composting and vermicomposting—composting with worms—and is designed for all levels of skill and interest.
The workshop will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Big Sky Chapel (510 Little Coyote Road). The first 25 people to arrive will get a free kitchen countertop compost bin, great for collecting fruit and veggie scraps.

“Come out, learn how to give back to the earth, and take home something that makes sustainable living easier,” said YES owner Karl Johnson in a recent social media post promoting the event.
