Bozeman is in for a packed lineup of arts and performances this weekend as the SLAM Summer Festival invites community members to its free, two-day celebration of local arts and music at Bogert Park.
SLAM starts at 11 a.m. on Aug. 8, with live music by Lena Rich, followed by the Belgrade Symphony. Other notable events are a free community yoga hosted by Bend Beyond at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 9 and a 4 p.m. corgi race. Artists will also hold demonstrations and workshops, including one about porcupine quilling, tarot art and acrylic painting. Some of the workshops require tickets, so interested attendees should check registration online. Throughout the weekend, over 60 Montana artists will display their work at the festival.
The festival falls on the same weekend as the Sweet Pea Festival, another celebration of arts, which will be held at neighboring Lindley Park.
