The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office will hold a press conference on Aug. 8 to provide updates to the 1996 murder of 15-year-old Danielle Houchins of Belgrade. According to an Aug. 5 press release from the sheriff’s office, the Houchins Case Press Conference will be held at the Gallatin County Detention Center Community Room at 605 S 16 Ave. in Bozeman.
The conference will also be streamed to GCSO’s Facebook page. The nearly 28-year-old case has sparked ongoing coverage and investigation about what happened to Houchins. Reporting by Nonstop Local’s Alex McCollum stated that in Aug. 2023, GCSO offered a $50,000 reward for information regarding the young woman’s death.
