Montana PBS will host a community event, Neighbor Day, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds in Bozeman.
The event is geared toward families with children ages 3-8. It will include hands-on educational activities focusing on literacy and on science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM, as well as summer resources for parents. It will also include a meet-and-greet with Daniel Tiger and Elinor, characters from PBS television shows.
Neighbor Day is free and open to the public. In addition to Montana PBS, event sponsors include Bozeman Health, Culligan, First Interstate Bank, the Gallatin County Fairgrounds and Montana Parent Magazine.
Event partner organizations include the U.S. Forest Service Custer Gallatin National Forest, Hebgen Lake Ranger District and Bozeman Ranger District, HRDC’s Gallatin Valley Food Bank, Greater Gallatin United Way, World Language Initiative, Amaltheia Organic Dairy, Concussion Resource Center, Gallatin Valley YMCA, Windhorse Equine Learning, Family Outreach, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Bozeman Fire Department, 4-H, Gallatin College Montana State University, American Computer and Robotics Museum, Tinworks Art, Belgrade High School Robotics team, Bienvenidos a Gallatin Valley, Happy Trash Can and MSU University Police.
