Montana State cross-country teams ranked second in Big Sky Conference

The Big Sky Conference released results of its 2025 preseason cross-country coaches’ polls, with both Montana State mens and womens teams earning the No. 2 rank.  

Northern Arizona University earned the top spot for both polls, having won six and four consecutive Big Sky Conference titles for the womens and mens programs, respectively.

A press release from MSU Athletics noted that last fall, both Bobcat teams finished in second place at the league championships in Pocatello, Idaho. On the mens side, Ben Perrin, Sam Ellis and Rob McManus earned All-Big-Sky honors; Kyla Christopher-Moody and Grace Gilbreth received the womens’ honors.  

Ranked behind Montana State are Weber State, Idaho State, Eastern Washington and Idaho, in that order for both genders.
