In June, Yellowstone National Park reported data showing 2025 was on record pace for total annual visits. Last month, however, the 2025 pace dipped slightly below the 2021 all-time annual visitation record.
In July 2025, the park’s 975,109 visitors was 2% fewer than July 2024 (992,352), and 10% fewer than an exceptionally busy 1.08 million monthly visitors in July 2021.
Through July, 2025 has seen a total of 2,666,031 visitors pass through the park’s gates. By the end of July in 2021, that year-to-date total was 2,374 visitors more, with 2,668,765 visitors.
By the end of 2021, the park welcomed 4.8 million visitors. Additional data can be viewed at the National Parks Service statistics webpage.
