Bartzick awarded George Macdonald scholarship

ROTARY CLUB OF BIG SKY
BIG SKY – Dan Bartzick, a 2013 Lone Peak High School graduate, has been awarded the 2014 George Macdonald Rotary Scholarship worth $2,000.

Bartzick will be attending Lincoln Electric Welding School in Cleveland, Ohio this fall. He has worked at Black Tie Ski Rentals in Big Sky while being involved with the Big Sky Community Food Bank.

The George Macdonald Scholarship is awarded annually to a Big Sky resident planning on attending college or a vocational post-high school program. The criteria for the scholarship are based on financial need, community service, and academic performance.

Funding for the scholarship is provided by money raised during the Rotary Club’s annual Gold Raffle and Auction held each January.

Big Sky residents interested in more information or applying for the 2015 George Macdonald Rotary Scholarship should email bigskyrotary@gmail.com or contact a Big Sky Rotarian. A school transcript and detailed description of community service is required. Deadline for applications is at the end of April 2015.

The Rotary Club of Big Sky was formed in 2004 and meets Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. at Buck’s T-4.
