Overall, the airport tallied 118,030 flights taking off and landing in 2025, a 2.1% decrease compared to 2024. This lull occurred mostly in general aviation and military operations, which respectively decreased by 8.3% and 48.6%, though the airport processed 343 private international arrivals compared to 241 in 2024. Meanwhile, scheduled passenger and cargo airline operations increased by 11.1% and business jet operations increased by 9.1%.
United Airlines transported the most passengers at 811,127, followed by Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, American Airlines and Alaska Airlines in the top five.

In 2025, the airport also worked on a multi-phase East Terminal Expansion Project, projected to cost $190 million dollars.
“The project continues to progress on schedule and under budget,” the release stated. “With the structure now taking shape, this milestone marks an exciting new chapter in the continued growth, modernization, and future development of our airport.”
Other accomplishments of the year include main runway extension by 328 feet, improvements to the navigational aid system, which will continue into 2026.
The airport also announced new daily summer service to Phoenix, Arizona, summer Saturday service to Long Beach, California, and Austin, Texas, as well as spring break service to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
“BZN remains dedicated to providing competitive, convenient travel options and more choice
than ever before for southwest Montana travelers, while continuing to serve as a powerful driver of economic opportunity across the region,” the release concluded.
