On March 1 and 2, the Montana Ballet Company will perform Swan Lake at the Willson Auditorium. In a Jan. 22 press release, the nonprofit’s Artistic Director Melissa Bowman expressed excitement for the show.

“We are thrilled to bring this epic masterpiece to the Bozeman community,” Bowman stated. “Swan Lake is not only one of the most beautiful ballets ever created, but also one of the most challenging to perform—both for the principal dancers and the corps de ballet.”

“In fact, Swan Lake sets the standard for the ballerina, but perhaps even more so for the corps de ballet, where precision, unity, and grace are key to bringing this timeless story to life. We can’t wait for you to experience this incredible work in its full, breathtaking glory.”

Internationally acclaimed guest artists will lead in the renowned love story. WanTing Zhao and Benjamin Freemantle, both principal dancers with the San Francisco Ballet, will perform as Odette and Prince Siegfried.

To accompany the dancers, MBC’s Music Director Stefan Stern will lead an orchestra in a live performance of Tchaikovsky’s famous score.

Tickets for the show range from $28-78 and are available online.
