BIG SKY – Santosha Wellness Center is offering clients a new way to recharge. With the addition of two new BioMats, many treatments will now incorporate these mats to achieve optimal health and maintain a stronger, more resilient body.

BioMats use three powerful health stimulators – infrared rays, negative ion effects and the conductive properties of amethyst channels – which will rejuvenate users, according to two of Santosha’s therapists.

Carissa Hill, Acupuncturist and Licensed Massage Therapist, and Callie Stolz, Licensed Massage Therapist and a Holistic Health Practitioner, are Santosha’s only two therapists offering the treatments.

“The infrared rays and negative ions just help all the body’s systems function better,” said Stolz, who also owns Santosha. “It’s also been proven to suppress the growth of tumors and abnormal cells, and it increases blood flow and blood circulation, so it also helps to detoxify the body.”

The BioMat – in conjunction with the quantum energy pad, which is also included in treatments and helps stabilize brain waves – will enhance the affects of massage, energy work, acupuncture and other services offered at Santosha. Recharge sessions will also be offered, where people can come in and lay on the mat for 30 minutes to soak in its benefits.

Pranic healing – a type of energy medicine – cranial sacral therapy and auriculotherapy, or ear acupuncture, treatments will be offered as optional add-ons to the recharge sessions as well.

The sensation of laying on the BioMat and going through the Pranic healing in which Stolz improves the flow of energy in your body and strengthens your chakras, is a difficult one to describe. You leave the table feeling well rested and rejuvenated –- similar to that of leaving a massage, but with more energy.

“I love the fact that it will be here to enhance our treatments, but I also think it’s a beautiful stand alone opportunity,” said Stolz, adding that simply lying on the BioMat promotes a feeling of well being for a healthier mind and body.

“Our mission is to always be working toward new, innovative ways to help our bodies work to optimal health and healing,” Stolz said. “Some people’s avenue to health and healing might be through acupuncture, Ayurveda, or just a recharge session on the BioMat every third day.”
