In known history, Corah’s Couloir in Jackson Hole has remained unridden except by snowboarder Darren Miller. According to a Feb. 7 report by Powder Magazine, only one skier has stepped up to the plate: Tristan Brown.

Powder Magazine interviewed Brown about the rules for his descent and how the historic run came to be. A YouTube video by Tristan Brown, nicknamed “Teton Brown,” shows the skier’s approach, which required months of studying the route.

Brown said he likely will not ski the high-consequence line again.
